Apollo Tele Health in association with Landmark group organises free screening camps
More than one lakh people benefited from preventive healthcare programme
Apollo Tele Health Services in association with Landmark Group under the CSR initiatives has organised free screening camps under their ‘GET ACTIVE’ programme. The programme includes assessment of ‘risk factors’ for Non Communicable Disease (NCD), screening using point of care devices testing devices, diet and lifestyle modification counselling and tele-consultation for identified beneficiaries. The programme has already finished one year of screening activities in Bengaluru followed by Chennai and Delhi.
Commenting on the preventive healthcare programme, Dr Prathap C Reddy, Apollo Hospitals Group said, “Get Active’ programme validates our commitment towards bring healthcare of International standards within the reach of every individual. The joint effort with Landmark for preventive healthcare brought promising results with more than one lakh people screened across three metros.”
Sangita Reddy Joint MD, Apollo Hospitals Group added, “The programme not only imparts knowledge on NCDs for promoting prevention and management but also identify population ‘at risk’ for development of diseases. Early identification of unaware diseases reduce morbidity; improve subsequent lifestyle modification and preventive health care which improves quality of life.”
