Aster Emergency App is a user-friendly application to get access to Basic Life Support help, in case of a medical emergency
The Aster Emergency App was launched on May 25, 2017 in New Delhi by Dr Azad Moopen, Founder, CMD, Aster DM Healthcare. Aster Emergency App provides a real-time interface between the patient in emergency and a GPS-enabled Aster Responder providing Basic Life Support” (BLS). As part of Aster Volunteers programme Aster DM Healthcare initiates 3,00,000 new BLS training for volunteers over the next 3 years across India & GCC for widening its current pool of 2,00,000 BLS Trained people.
Reportedly, Aster Emergency App is a user-friendly application to get access to Basic Life Support help, in case of a medical emergency. The app is the link between the patient, the responder, the ambulance and ultimately the hospital. On a click of a button, the trained certified responder, who can deal with emergencies at the ground level can be accessed by support of the back-end control centre. The app is also equipped with information on handling some medical emergencies, emergency numbers and other useful tips. Features of the app include – user registration, incident reporting and request an ambulance.
The app also includes a view & track for real-time status of the incidents by all stake holders. Seamless google maps integration to reach task location. The Aster Emergency App is rolled out in a phased manner starting from today at Calicut in Kerala post the Nation-wide launch at New Delhi.
Dr Moopen said, “We look forward to launching this app across India in association with interested healthcare organisations, NGOs and government agencies. This is a neutral, not for profit initiative to save lives and we are ready to share the technology and support anyone interested to take this up.”
