Talks with venture firms to raise $2 million for business expansion in India
Hyderabad-based BookMEDS, which enables customers to order medicines online and receive home delivery of medicines from the nearby pharmacy, has been selected by MAGIC Accelerator run by the Malaysian government for exploring an entry into Malaysia. “The Pharma-Retail model in Malaysia is very similar to that of India and a great opportunity for BookMEDS to serve,” said Mohammed Abubakr, Founder and CEO, BookMEDS.
“BookMEDS is currently in discussions with renowned venture firms to raise $2 million as Pre-Series-A investment for business expansion in India. These funds will be used for business expansion to 50+ cities and towns in India and achieve $50 million GMV,” said Abubakr.
