Stopping import of said kits is in public interest, in light of information of ICMR that these kits show wide variation in their sensitivity in field
Refer to the list of diagnostic kits approved for Novel Corona Virus (2019-nCoV) till April 16, 2020 along with details of company name, address, contact number, email etc. forwarded to concerned organisations by this office vide letter even number dated April 17, 2020.
The letter is to communicate information and necessary action that the import licence holders of COVID-19 Rapid kits from the sites Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech, China, and Zhuhai Livzon Diagnostics, China have been asked to stop import of the said kits in public interest and issued show cause notices in the light of information of ICMR that these kits show wide variation in their sensitivity in the field.
