Leveraging extensive service delivery mechanism with the partnership, Cipla Health will cater to four lakh people, cover 250 stores in 45 cities across the country
In the wake of the unprecedented nation-wide lockdown, Cipla Health has collaborated with essential item providers such as Swiggy, Zomato and Dunzo to supply OTC wellness products such as Ciphands, Nicotex, Prolyte, Maxirich, Cofsils and others. Leveraging the extensive service delivery mechanism, Cipla Health will cater to four lakh people and cover 250 stores in 45 cities across the country.
As individuals practise social distancing and stay at home during this pandemic, this endeavour is expected to enable customers to place orders for these wellness products from the comfort and safety of their homes. Further, the delivery protocol strictly adheres to the hygiene and safety guidelines provided by the government authorities. Hence, a home-delivery system makes it very convenient and safe for the customers to get access to these wellness products, which otherwise might be difficult due to these lockdown conditions.
Both Zomato and Swiggy have been tirelessly supplying these products in various regions in cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Gurugram and Pune, whereas Dunzo, a dependable source for delivering groceries and medicines, is covering Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi.
Commenting on the development, Shivam Puri, CEO, Cipla Health said, “As the entire country is taking efforts to combat potential threats of the virus, it is our duty to support our customers in every possible way. We have collaborated with these premier delivery partners as their expertise coupled with our suppliers will allow us to reach out to a larger segment of the population. Further, our set of offerings are specially curated to meet the varying needs of our consumers especially in these times and hence, this association helps us in ensuring our products reach their consumers who are finding it difficult to purchase them due to the lockdown. We wish to support our consumers and we stand by them in these difficult times.”
Throwing some light on this partnership, Mohit Sardana, COO-Food Delivery, Zomato said, “Our delivery network in the country is only second to India Post, and we are putting in every effort to make sure that we put it to good use and serve the community. Through our partnership with Cipla Health, we will employ our logistics capabilities to ensure our users have easy access to OTC wellness products from the safety of their homes. Currently available in the metro cities, we will expand this partnership to Tier-II cities by the coming week.
Speaking of this collaboration, Vivek Sunder, COO, Swiggy, said, “Over the last few weeks, Swiggy has been working tirelessly to make food, groceries and household essentials accessible to customers quickly and in a safe manner. Our partnership with Cipla will ensure that health, hygiene and wellness products, which are just as essential, will reach customers in need as required. This is another step forward in helping citizens stay at home during the nationwide lockdown.”
