CureBay, a hybrid healthcare platform addressing last-mile healthcare access in underserved regions of India, has reported an eightfold increase in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) in the first half of FY25 compared to the same period in FY24. The platform has achieved an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of INR 1,284 million and aims to reach INR 2,000 million by March 2025. With a focus on India’s $45 billion rural healthcare market, CureBay operates over 150 eClinics and collaborates with 1,500 Digital Franchisees, known as Swasthya Mitras.

The platform provides comprehensive healthcare services, including consultations, diagnostics, and tertiary care. By leveraging technology, it bridges gaps in critical care and ensures holistic patient management in remote and underserved areas.

“What we’re witnessing is not just growth in numbers, but a fundamental transformation in rural healthcare delivery,” said Priyadarshi Mohapatra, Founder and CEO of CureBay. “Our network of world-class e-Clinics, powered by an intelligent tech platform and operated by trained, certified health workers, has profiled over 1.4 million patients, with a 20 per cent conversion rate into active users. Additionally, 14 per cent of these users have adopted preventive care memberships, reflecting the strong trust and engagement we’ve built in these communities. Achieving operational profitability in the Puri Circle of Odisha affirms our vision of delivering quality healthcare to every village, demonstrating that rural India is prepared to embrace technology-driven healthcare solutions.”

CureBay serves approximately 55,000 patients each quarter and has enrolled 18,000 members in its subscription-based healthcare plans. It currently reaches over 18 million people in Odisha and Chhattisgarh, with plans to expand to 100 million rural residents across 16 regions in six states: Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh.

The company is building one of India’s largest rural health databases, using AI and data monetisation strategies to attract global healthcare platforms for data-sharing collaborations. Through CureBay Quantum, an AI-powered healthcare ecosystem, the platform analyses rural health trends, enabling targeted outreach and personalised care.

CureBay’s hybrid healthcare model integrates micro-satellite centres, Swasthya Mitras, and a network of skilled providers to ensure access to timely medical services. Its eClinics, strategically positioned hubs, offer basic check-ups, health education, diagnostics, and referrals. Swasthya Mitras, trained local health workers, facilitate medical consultations, diagnostics, and pharmacy services while creating economic opportunities in their communities.

In Odisha’s Puri Circle, CureBay covers 13 per cent of the catchment population, showcasing its grassroots-level impact. The company’s expansion into states like Chhattisgarh reflects its commitment to delivering affordable healthcare in underserved areas. By combining cohort analysis with disease demographics, CureBay refines healthcare interventions, improving outcomes and operational efficiency while maintaining a scalable and sustainable business model.
