Doctor Insta receives $500k in pre-series A funding
It is also planning to seek additional funding of $1-2 million for further growth
Doctor Insta, a video-medicine company, has received pre-series A funding of $500k from an entrepreneur-angel investor Rishi Parti and BrahmaX Ventures, a Silicon Beach (California, US) based venture capital firm. Reportedly, Doctor Insta is also planning to seek additional funding of $1-2 million for its further growth.
Doctor Insta recently announced the launch of its services in India and intends to bridges the gap between doctors and patients through a digital platform across different medical fields such as general medicine, paediatrics, diet & nutrition and psychology.
Amit Munjal, Co-Founder & CEO, Doctor Insta said, “The funds raised have been invested in the research and deployment of the product and with the next round of funding we will be expanding our team, conducting marketing and promotion activities and bringing in new innovative dimensions to our product to offer seamless healthcare service. I really hope that by providing instant healthcare access, we can increase average Indian’s lifespan by 10 years and productivity of the nation by 15-20 per cent.”
Rishi Parti, who was quite enthusiastic about his investment, pointed out, “The disruptive concept of a video based healthcare portal appealed to me immensely and it didn’t take me much time to take a decision about investing in Doctor Insta. This innovative platform is driven by user friendly technology and is headed towards revolutionising the way patients consult with doctors/caregivers. It is bound to fill the wide gap in the healthcare of over one billion Indians. I’m confident that the Brand Doctor Insta will shine in the firmament of start-ups in India.”
