Fortis Hospitals Mumbai launches 24/7 emergency helpline with integrated awareness campaign
Fortis Hospitals introduces a citywide emergency helpline and #FirstCallFortis campaign to enhance medical response across Mumbai
Fortis Hospitals in Mumbai has introduced a unified 24/7 emergency helpline to streamline access to medical care. By dialling 022-4111 4111, residents can connect with the nearest Fortis Hospital, enabling rapid access to the hospital network’s level 1 trauma centres. The initiative aims to reduce delays in treatment, improving patient outcomes. Supported by a robust ambulatory network, the helpline offers consistent and reliable emergency care across Greater Mumbai.
The initiative also seeks to build trust among Mumbai’s residents by providing clarity on where to turn during medical emergencies. Fortis Hospitals has introduced India’s first CGI-based digital advertisements in the healthcare sector as part of its awareness efforts. These ads are designed to highlight the emergency number, ensuring it remains memorable and accessible.
The #FirstCallFortis campaign is being rolled out across various platforms, including cinema theatres, shopping malls, bus shelters, hoardings, and digital mediums throughout Mumbai. The helpline connects citizens with the nearest network hospital within a 5–7 km radius, ensuring swift response and access to medical expertise during critical moments.
Dr S. Narayani, Business Head-Fortis Hospitals Maharashtra, commented on the launch, “Through the #FirstCallFortis campaign, we are showcasing not just our capabilities of being the largest emergency-prepared healthcare network in Greater Mumbai, but also the convenience of reaching out to us with an easy-to-remember number in time of a medical emergency. With an expansive network of four state-of-the-art hospitals across the MMR region, we are prepared to tackle emergencies of all nature, this integrated campaign hopes to get 022-4111 4111 on the speed dial of all Mumbaikars.”
The campaign, designed to reach over 10 lakh households by World Health Day on 7 April 2025, focuses on spreading the message of emergency preparedness. The integrated approach ensures that every Mumbaikar understands the importance of being prepared and has immediate access to emergency medical care when every second counts.
