Funding in lifesciences boosts, sees 81% rise in March

March 2025 observed funding of $79 million compared to $43.5 million in February 2025. Truemeds and DCDC reported some of the biggest funding rounds

Funding in the pharma and healthcare space surged 81.38 per cent to $79 million in March 2025 from $43.5 million in February 2025. However, this is a 50.06 per cent decline in funding when compared with the $158 million raised in March last year.

Most of the funding raised by this space in March this year came from late-stage rounds ($61.4 million), which accounted for 77.8 per cent of the investments. Seed-stage funding ($16.8 million) contributed to 21.3 per cent of the total funding.

Truemeds and DCDC reported some of the biggest funding rounds in March 2025, raising $44 million and $17.4 million, respectively. Accel, Blume Ventures, and Rainmatter were among the most active investors during the period.
