The OPPI annual event will be held in Delhi on August 21, 2019. The theme for this year is ‘Health Dialogue 2019’.The event focusses on unlocking the health potential for patients bringing hope to them.
Bhavna Singh, Director Communications, OPPI, will give the welcome address. This will be followed by A Vaidheesh, President, OPPI and Vice President, South Asia and Managing Director India, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, speaking on 3 P’s – Patient, Policy, Progress. The keynote address on Value of Innovation will be given by Andre Musto, Regional Vice President – APAC, Merck Healthcare.
This will be followed by a session on Balancing Access and Innovation to achieve near self-reliance domestically and to continue India’s dominance as a global leader in the pharmaceutical Industry: The Way Forward for India. The session is curated by ORF. The panelists for the session are V K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog, Dr YK Gupta, Principal Advisor (Projects), THSTI, Indu Bhushan, CEO, Ayushman Bharat, Dr Preeti Sudan, Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director for World Health Organisation South-East Asia. The session will be moderated by Gautam Chikermane, Vice President, Observer Research Foundation.
Kanchana TK, DG and Board Member, OPPI will give a lecture on Let’s Talk Science.The special address will be given by Chief Guest, DV, Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers and Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science & Technology, Health & Family Welfare and Earth Sciences.
