Healthcare IT firm eKincare raises Rs. 2.2 crores in pre-series A funding

Hyderabad-based eKincare, a healthcare technology start-up that enable users to monitor their critical medical information and view it anywhere anytime, has secured Rs. 2.2 crores in pre-series A round of funding.

Bitkemy Ventures, Maheshwari Investment, and from other individual investors like Anshoo Gaur (Indian Angel network, Amdocs), RamaKrishna Reddy and Sandeep Seerapu were involved in this roud of fund raising. Reportedly, the current round of funding will be used to strengthen product development, IP and tap the right talent to foster company’s growth in the tech led healthcare space.

eKincare’s current round of funding comes close to the seed fund amounting to Rs 2 crores that the company had raised last year in January, 2015 from Bitkemy Ventures and Adroitent.

Speaking on the occasion, Kiran Kalakuntla, Founder & CEO, eKincare said, “This round of funding was raised to bring in few strategic investors on board and will be utilised to further improve the B2B offering, expand to other cities and hiring for operations in new cities.”
