HealthEminds raises angel funding with Robin Uthappa as lead investor
There are currently 70 professionals across India on the platform
HealthEminds, a healthcare start-up focusing on using technology to tackle mental and emotional health has recently closed a round of angel funding. Robin Uthappa, cricketer through his fund Caffeine Ventures has invested into the startup.
Says Uthappa, “HealthEminds is a great platform to add value to peoples’ lives and impact society. Psychologists, counsellors have a huge barrier to break in our society and I believe through Healtheminds, we are making it more accessible to people and letting people know ‘It’s okay to go through issues in life and to use someone’s help to overcome these challenges.” He goes on to saying “with this platform people have help instantly wherever they may be in the world.”
Ankita Puri, Carnegie Mellon engineer, investment banker and healthcare enthusiast and Dr Sunita Maheshwari, leading global healthcare entrepreneur and Yale trained physician co-founders of HealthEminds having over 25 years of Healthcare and Technology experience, believe that there is a need for such a service in India.
There are currently 70 professionals across India on the platform and each of them have been handpicked, screened, certified and trained by HealthEminds.
