Doctors who consistently contributed towards the field of medical practice and stepped forward as frontline warriors when the nation needed them the most were honoured
Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre recently commemorated the hospital’s 48th Foundation Day by honouring their doctors who have consistently contributed towards the field of medical practice and stepped forward as frontline warriors when the nation needed them the most, a statement said.
The hospital honoured one of Jaslok’s most senior doctors, Dr A B Mehta, with the Jaslok Ratna Award for demonstrating persistent excellence since the inception of the hospital, for driving pioneering thoughts and providing exemplary contribution towards the field of clinical practice, academics and research. Dr A B Mehta has been one of the driving forces in making progress in the field of interventional cardiology in India, it added.
It also notified that the hospital felicitated the ‘Heroes of Jaslok’ – Dr Shruti Tandon Pardasani, Dr Indraneel Raut, Dr Varun Deshmukh, Dr Pinank Pandya, Dr Anand Bhabhor, Dr Sandeep Sheth, Dr Gaurav Chaturvedy, Dr Prem Naganath Narsimham, Dr Susheel Bindroo, Dr Nihar Mehta, Dr R P Ram, Dr Ashish Kumar Singh, Dr Mala Kaneria, Dr Sunil Jain, Dr Sonar Narula, Dr Hemant Thacker and Dr Rohan Sequeira. Each doctor has willingly stepped beyond their call of duty and extended their support to the hospital during the trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide their exemplary services.
Further, it said that Dr Neeta Warty and Dr Ajit Desai have been honoured for their exceptional contribution towards protecting the city of Mumbai during the pandemic as members of the Mumbai Frontline Task Force.
