The primary objective of the Restorative and Regenerative department is to restore body functions using fewer complex methods
Jaslok Hospital & Research center announced the launch of its Restorative and Regenerative department. The department will offer treatment of psychiatric disease, chronic pain in neurological conditions in the form of non-invasive neuromodulation. It will also offer ortho biologics for various cell-based treatments for bone and joint disorders & platelet rich plasma for orthopedics vascular and cosmetic therapies.
The primary objective of the Restorative and Regenerative department is to restore body functions using fewer complex methods, such as dietary supplements, different bioidentical hormones, vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, probiotics, and “superfoods,” and to develop treatments for organs that become permanently damaged.
Modern medicine typically focuses on either treating a disease or prevention of a disease. The regenerative medicine aims to repair the diseased state of the body by replacing tissue or organs that have been damaged by disease or trauma. Several methods are used to achieve this, ranging from tissue engineering, cellular therapies or use of medical devices and artificial organs. This is a rapidly evolving branch of medicine where large amount of research is being undertaken. This department allows to create solutions for organs that become permanently damaged. The goal of this approach is to find a way to cure previously untreatable injuries and diseases.
