Dr Vardhan has assured Shailaja support from Central government to contain Nipah Virus outbreak in Kerela
KK Shailaja Health Minister, Kerala, met Dr Harsh Vardhan, The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare. They discussed the status and preparedness of the State for containment and management of Nipah Virus Disease. Dr Vardhan is reviewing the status regularly. He has assured Shailaja all support for the State from the Central government.
The teams of experts from the Health Ministry and ICMR are already stationed in Kerala and are supporting the State in investigations and management of the NVD.
The condition of one positive case is stable. There have been no new cases. The earlier seven suspected cases have been confirmed to be negative.
