Clove Dental announced the appointment of Lt General Vimal Arora (Retd) as its Chief Clinical Officer. “We are excited to have Gen Arora and welcome him at Clove Dental,” said Amarinder Singh, CEO of Clove Dental. “He is India’s leading dental surgeon and the only one to have had the experience of managing India’s largest organised dental infrastructure within the Indian Armed Forces. He brings valuable clinical and administrative expertise from his prior experience as the Director General of the Dental Services of the Indian Armed Forces. He is a renowned and revered specialist in the professional circles which will further accelerate Cloves’ pursuit for excellence. With 58 clinics, Clove Dental is redefining modern dentistry and has the largest presence in North India. Dr Arora will play a key role in ensuring that the Clove continues to deliver affordable and high quality oral healthcare in a transparent and ethical manner.”

Prior to joining his assignment at Clove Dental, Lt Gen Vimal Arora (Retd.) was heading the Dental Branch of the Army, Navy & Air Force as the Director General of the Armed Forces Dental Services (DGDS) and managing more than 700 dental surgeons across the country. He has had a distinguished career in the Army for over 37 years and is the most decorated dental surgeon in the country having received the Presidential Award four times for distinguished services i.e. (PVSM, AVSM, VSM & Bar). He was also the Honorary Dental Surgeon to the President of India. He has been awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards by the Indian Prosthodontic Society, Indian Dental Association and he is also the recipient of the ‘Order of the Special Royal Emblem’ from the Sultan of Oman and also the ‘Sushruta Award’ from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in 2015 for professional excellence.
He is a leading prosthodontist with expertise in oral implantology, full-mouth rehabilitation and smile designing. He has been conferred the Honorary fellowship of the International College of Dentists and is the Founder Member of the International Congress on Oral Cancer, World Assembly on Tobacco Counters Health and the Indian Dental Association, Defence Branch. He is on the Board of the Governing Council of the ‘Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences’, New Delhi. He is also the Member of the Dental Council of India.
