Maha PWD Minister orders time-bound programme to complete construction of 184 health facilities
According to the minister, time and money of the state will be saved and facilities will be open for service
Maharashtra PWD minister Chandrakant Patil ordered for a time-bound programme to complete the construction of 184 health facilities across the state.
The instructions were issued after Patil held a meeting with Public Health Minister Deepak Sawant about the ongoing construction activity of these facilities.
It includes, construction of 51 new rural hospitals, construction of new 14 sub-district, upgradation of 59 sub-district and rural hospitals, setting up 42 trauma-care centers and 15 women and child hospitals — all will be run by the government itself.
Patil said, “Every hospital building is at different stage of completion. The officers should come up with time-bound programme to complete it. It will save time and money of the state and facilities will be open for service.”
The figure of total expenditure was however not available but it is being partially funded by the Centre under the National Health Mission.
