People who want to get a COVID test done for themselves and their families, can enter the school premises and follow the markings for parking spots
Genomics company Mapmygenome launched a drive-through COVID-19 testing facility at Cyient Foundation MP Primary and ZP High School in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, yesterday. People who want to get a COVID test done for themselves and their families, can enter the school premises and follow the markings for parking spots. There are standees with barcode to the registration form, which can be filled online, a statement released by the company said.
Apart from names, contact details and age, this form requires an individual’s ID proof. Sample collection executives approach the car and collect oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swab samples. Payment can be made online or to the executive. At every step, all COVID protocols and precautions are being followed. Reports are sent online, it added.
Speaking about the launch, Anu Acharya, CEO, Mapmygenome, said, “We have always been extra cautious about safety and social distancing during COVID sample collection and processing. We already use CoviSafe VTMs that neutralise the virus while protecting the molecular structure. This drive-through facility is an added safety measure that will enable our customers to give their samples for testing without worrying about being exposed to the virus while standing in the queue.”
