Hyderabad-based MaxiVision Super Specialty Eye Hospitals has unveiled “Sight for all – ‘Help one See Better’ “Campaign today to mark the world sight day. World Sight Day is observed across globe every year on the second Thursday in the month of October. It is an important day aims to draw people attention on eye health and vision related ailments. The theme for this year is blindness and vision impairment.

MaxiVision super specialty eye hospitals have conducted a human chain and placard display activity with its staff and people today to highlight the need of vision for all. They carried placards in their hands with messages on the significance of good eye health educating all.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Kasu Prasad Reddy – Founder and Mentor -MaxiVision super specialty eye hospitals said, It’s high time we must all join hands together to create much needed public awareness on avoidable blindness. MaxiVision has always been in the fore front to extend its support for the cause. As part of its social responsibility it has launched “Sight for all – help one see better” Campaign to create awareness on the importance of vision for all.

Reports on eye health reveal an estimated 290 million people worldwide live with vision related ailments, of these 40 million people are totally blind while remaining 250 million live with moderate to severe vision complications which are an alarming eye health concern one should pay attention on it to prevent the problem on priority basis.

Elaborating more on the same, Sudheer – COO Maxivision Super specialty eye Hospitals, Hyderabad said, Maxivision Eye Hospital took a theme of ‘Help one See Better’, to increase the social awareness on importance of vision and healthy eyes. Many of the vision defects go unnoticed and asymptomatic. But, if an educated person or a societal member who is already under an eye care program understands a symptom of vision defect of a person whom they meet, and guide them to give education about importance of vision and health of the eye, it makes a large society of good vision and eye health.
