Metropolis Healthcare expands its foothold in Kerala

This laboratory can handle up to 500 samples per day and offer diagnostic testing services to the residents of Kottayam, Kerala

Metropolis Healthcare announces the launch of its advanced diagnostic centre in Kerala’s Kottayam district. This new diagnostic testing centre has the capacity to process up to 500 samples per day, ranging from basic day-to-day pathology tests to high-end molecular diagnostic tests.

The Chief guest for the launch, MLA Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said, “I am extremely pleased to inaugurate the Metropolis’ diagnostic laboratory in Kottayam. The presence of such an advanced laboratory will be a positive boost to the city’s healthcare system, enabling it to have one of the best diagnostic services, technology, and doctors at such a reasonable distance from our homes.”

Commenting on the launch of the new lab, Surendran Chemmenkottil, Chief Executive Officer, Metropolis Healthcare said, “Metropolis being the frontrunner finds value in expansion of their testing centres to serve the community with top quality and timely reports. Metropolis has strengthened its presence in Kerala over the years by setting up 25 processing laboratories in strategic locations such as Thrissur, Calicut, Trivandrum, Kochi, Alleppey, Perumbavoor, Palakkad, and Kannur as well as more than 70 patient service collection centres, that serve a network of hospitals and doctors throughout the state. Now with the launch of our new processing lab in Kottayam, we look forward to taking the baton from our existing branches and share the responsibility of providing high-quality diagnostic testing services to the citizens in Kottayam.”
