TGH Onco-Life Cancer Centre has launched a mobile van integrated with a cancer screening unit focused on breast cancer detection on the go. This mobile van is supported by the Rotary Club of Talegaon, Dabhade, and donated by POSCO India and will help with early detection and create awareness for women in rural and semi-urban Maharashtra, ensuring they receive timely and free access to vital screenings. The van will also visit large offices and industries to reach underprivileged workers who often delay preventive health check-ups. 

The van will operate across villages in the Pune District, including Ambegaon, Baramati, Bhor, Daund, Haveli, Indapur, Junnar, Khed, Mawal, Mulshi, Pune City, Purandhar, Shirur, and Velhe. The van offers free cancer check-ups, including thermal screening for breast cancer, pap smear/VIA for cervical cancer, blood tests for various cancers, and oral examinations. If any abnormality is detected through thermal screening, patients will be referred for a mammogram or sonogram at the hospital. lay preventive health check-ups.

The newly launched van uses Thermalytix, an AI-powered, radiation-free breast screening tool that is non-contact, painless, and privacy-friendly. It’s safe for all age groups, including women under 40, and detects abnormalities early. Results are ready in just two minutes and can be shared via WhatsApp, email, or print, making it fast and accessible. Hence, timely treatment will be possible after the diagnosis to save lives. POSCO India recognises the importance of this issue and hence has been a crucial part of establishing this initiative.
