Dr Jatinder Kumar joins as Group Medical Director; Viresh Mina as Group Head Human Resources

Paras Healthcare has made two crucial new appointments to its top ranks. Dr Jatinder Kumar has been appointed as Group Medical Director while Viresh Mina has been appointed as the new Group Head – Human Resources.

As Group Medical Director of the healthcare company that currently runs three super specialty hospitals across the country and two hospitals under the new venture Paras Bliss, Dr Kumar’s core responsibility includes improving medical care and clinical services such as cost management, utilisation reviews, quality assurance, medical protocol development and maintaining quality of medical services as the healthcare corporate expands its presence to other centres in the country.

On the other hand, Mina will be expected to ensure a good flow of medical talent and expertise across the hospitals and ensure the best doctors and medical staff join the hospital chain.

Dr Kumar has over 35 years of clinical experience and prominently worked as neurosurgeon. He has worked with several hospitals, viz., GB Pant Hospital, RML Hospital, AIIMS, St Stephan’s Hospital, Max Balaji Hospital in Delhi, Kailash Hospital-Noida, Vimhans Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi are the names of few. He was also instrumental in the initial project phase of Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon.

Mina has over 14 years of experience of leading and participating in HR teams across industries like HR Consulting, Telecom, Pharmaceutical, Media, etc. He has worked across assignments touching all aspects of employee life cycle management including talent acquisition and management, organisation development, employee engagement, performance management and capability building. He has worked with renowned organisations like Ernst & Young (EY), Idea Cellular (an Aditya Birla Group Company) to name a few. Prior to joining Paras Hospitals, he was associated with Ernst & Young as Senior Manager – People Advisory Services.

Along with clinical aspects, I specialise in the organisation and delivery of health care services in India.
