PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC celebrates the convocation of its seventh batch of Allied Health Sciences Course

PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC’s educational wing, celebrated the convocation of its seventh batch of Allied Health Sciences Course. The graduation day marked and celebrated the success of 86 students. These students are provided with 100 per cent placement assistance by the hospital.
The first batch of Allied Health Sciences professionals graduated in 2013 and since then the demand for courses have swelled. The hospital is also amongst the first in the city to initiate healthcare courses under the Star Scheme by the Government of India and also affiliated itself with the HSSC (Health Sector Skills Council) – a non-profit organisation, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The hospital in collaboration with Life Supporters Institute of Life Sciences (LIHS), conduct medical courses to empower students with the necessary technical knowledge and skills.
While addressing the graduates, Joy Chakraborty, COO, PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC, said, “Opportunities for candidates in the healthcare industry are growing faster than many other employment sectors. However, there is still a huge gap in the demand and supply of healthcare professionals. Through the educational programmes at our institution, we are working towards producing dynamic professionals who will help the industry grow significantly. I congratulate all the students on the completion of their course.”
Under Allied Health Sciences programme, the hospital offers courses like Advanced Medical Laboratory Technician, Critical Care Technician, Dialysis Technician, Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technician, Radiology Technician Certificate programmes. Each programme is conducted for one year and is open for H.Sc pass/graduates depending on the preferred specialisation.
