PM to interact with Gennova Biopharma, Biological E, DRL teams today
The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will continue his interactions with COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers this week too.
In a tweet, The PM said he would interact via video conferencing, with Gennova Biopharma, Biological E and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories’ teams involved in developing a COVID-19 vaccine.
Last Saturday, November 28, the PM had visited the manufacturing facilities of three of the candidates in the most advanced stages of trials in India. He started with Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, followed by Hyderabad’s Bharat Biotech and ended the day at Pune’s Serum Institute of India.
As per the ICMR, India has tested 14,03,79,976 samples for COVID-19 up to November 29, with 8,76,173 samples tested on that day.
6.37 crore were RT PCR tests, as of November 30. 50252 RT PCR samples are due to be collected on November 30, recording a rise from Sunday’s count of 332341 RT PCR samples collected.
India’s active cases (446952 as of 30 November 2020, 08:00 IST) make up 4.74 per cent of total COVID-19 cases. New cases over the last 24 hours (7004) were primarily from Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi.
