ReadyToBeMom.com has unveiled  an extensive IVF Awareness and Education Programme in honor of World IVF Day 2024. This initiative, in collaboration with The Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India ( FOGSI) Young Talent Promotion Committee and ISAR Indian Society For Assisted Reproduction (ISAR)  and Maharashtra Chapter of ISAR features a webinar by fertility experts to update gynecologists on the latest advancements in IVF. Additionally, a multimedia campaign aims to address hesitancy and educate prospective parents about assisted reproduction options.

Dr Rohan Palshetkar, an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Chairperson of FOGSI Young Talent Promotion Committee, attributed the high infertility rate to factors such as age, delayed pregnancy, and career priorities. “Despite remarkable advancements in assisted reproduction, awareness gaps and hesitancy remain significant hurdles”, said Dr Palshetker.

ReadyToBeMom.com, a platform for preconception counseling, pregnancy care, and postpartum support, aims to foster dialogues on infertility at multiple levels. The programme includes a survey among practicing gynecologists to tailor educational content on assisted reproduction advancements, culminating in a specialised webinar and a follow-up informational brochure.

The public awareness segment kicks off with a “Doctor Bytes” campaign on FM channels, encouraging audience participation through crowdsourced questions on digital platforms. Responses will be shared via video and audio podcasts, followed by a comprehensive mobile campaign on YouTube and Instagram over a four-week period.

Founder Shripad Kulkarni emphasised the platform’s mission to address critical gaps in women’s health in India, particularly in preventive care and preconception counseling. The initiative seeks to empower first-time mothers with doctor previewed pregnancy care information, thereby reducing pregnancy risks and enhancing maternal health outcomes.
