Signia has announced the launch of ‘Brilliant Sound Galaxy (BSG)’ in Mumbai where consumers can self-discover aspects of hearing, self-screen their hearing, experience hearing live with hearing aids and take decision to enhance their hearing journey. As per WHO estimates in India, there are approximately 63 million people, who are suffering from Significant Auditory Impairment; this places the estimated prevalence at 6.3 per cent in the Indian population.
The store was inaugurated by Signia Cause Ambassador Sudesh Bhosle along with Avinash Pawar, CEO & Managing Director, Sivantos India.

“Hearing loss is the most common sensory deficit in humans today. There is a stigma associated with hearing loss that is well known. Many factors contribute to the stigma, but perhaps the biggest one is that we don’t talk about it enough. Untreated hearing loss has social, physical and psychological consequences. With the launch of BSG, we aim to provide a youthful and inclusive experience that reframes assumptions about hearing aids and empowers consumers to take their own decision. Here, clinical services transform into an active journey that takes hearing aids beyond devices, celebrating great design”, said Pawar.
BSG will be operated by Atharva Speech and Hearing Care which has 5 centres across Mumbai, Pune and Goa.
