TERN Group, an AI-driven healthcare recruitment and migration platform, in collaboration with public sector partners in Germany and India, has successfully concluded its latest TERN Talent Tour. The initiative is aligned with the objectives of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Skill India Mission to strengthen Indo-German cooperation in workforce development and ethical migration pathways for Indian healthcare professionals.

The Talent Tour, held in Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, and Düsseldorf, brought over 100 nurses from India and other countries on a fully sponsored trip to visit leading German hospitals. Through direct interviews, candidates secured immediate job placements, contributing to Germany’s efforts to address its growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals.

Avinav Nigam, Founder and CEO of TERN Group and Advisor for Global Markets at the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC), stated, “The TERN Talent Tour has been a transformative experience, enabling Indian nurses to access overseas job opportunities while addressing Germany’s healthcare shortages. Through AI-driven, ethical recruitment, we are making international hiring more efficient and transparent, ensuring long-term success for both professionals and employers. We are now the largest player from India supporting German healthcare needs.”

TERN Group is on track to achieve annualised sales of nearly ₹100 crore this quarter. The company plans to expand its recruitment operations to North Africa, Central Asia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, further strengthening its position as a global leader in ethical healthcare hiring through its AI-driven platform.

More than 30 leading German healthcare employers participated in the recruitment sessions, reinforcing the importance of global workforce mobility. The next Talent Tour, scheduled for February 2025, will expand its scope to include nursing professionals from North Africa and Central Asia to address Germany’s workforce needs. In Berlin, key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government representatives, and recruitment partners, will engage in discussions on workforce challenges, ethical recruitment, and cultural integration.

TERN’s AI-powered recruitment platform optimises talent matching between Indian nurses and overseas employers. Candidates undergo structured B1/B2 German language training through institutions such as the Goethe-Institut and are screened through AI-driven assessments for direct job placement. TERN sponsors visa processing, travel, accommodation, and meals, ensuring a seamless transition for nurses relocating to Germany. Cultural and professional integration sessions are conducted to familiarise nurses with workplace expectations, healthcare protocols, and German cultural norms.

TERN covers all costs associated with the migration process, removing financial barriers for candidates. The company’s approach addresses challenges within the job migration sector, which has faced concerns related to fraudulent recruitment practices.

The Talent Tour also saw participation from officials representing the Federal Health Ministry of Germany, the Health Ministry of Bavaria, and the NSDC of India. TERN’s collaborations with the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI) and the Indo-German Young Leaders’ Forum (IGYLF) further support its mission to promote ethical recruitment and structured career pathways for healthcare professionals.

India’s job market faces significant challenges, with over 65 per cent of the population under the age of 35 and more than 100 million individuals unemployed or underemployed. Overseas job opportunities and ethical migration frameworks are essential in addressing these issues. Public-private partnerships must align vocational training with industry requirements, while skill development in AI, data analytics, and manufacturing can enhance workforce resilience. Through structured skill-building and global employment initiatives, India can leverage its demographic advantage to create sustainable economic opportunities.
