The venture helps Ujala Cygnus Healthcare group further expand its presence in Northern India

Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals has recently partnered with Rainbow Hospital, Agra, Uttar Pradesh to operate a 200-bedded well-equipped hospital with all modern equipment. This flagship centre will further strengthen the tertiary healthcare group’s aim to expand its presence in tier II and tier III cities of northern India and cater to the marginalised sector of the society.

With this collaboration, Rainbow Hospital will be rebranded as Ujala Cygnus Rainbow Hospital and will be upgraded by adding integrated secondary and tertiary care facilities such as the MRI machines, CT scan, cath labs and gastroenterology services.

Commenting on this partnership, Probal Ghosal, Chairman, Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services said, “At Ujala Cygnus, our focus has always been to provide high quality healthcare service delivery in small towns of Northern India and partnering with Rainbow hospital is another step in that direction. With this partnership we are aiming to build a Center of excellence with super specialties under one roof, hence filling a major void of tertiary care in these areas.”

This tie-up marks the third hospital of the healthcare group in UP after Varanasi and Kanpur. Now, the Ujala Cygnus Group of hospitals currently operates 15 hospitals across India.

Dr Shuchin Bajaj, Founder Director, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals, added, “Our aim at Ujala Cygnus hospitals has been to provide the highest quality services to the underserved and underprivileged communities of small towns & villages at affordable price points, and our partnership with Rainbow hospital will help us further that objective as we plan to enhance its current offerings with super specialty services so that it not only benefits people residing in Agra but also its vicinity towns and rural areas so that they don’t  have to rush to the metros for  their treatment, thus risking both their physical and financial health.”
