Ujala Cygnus Healthcare starts its operations in Srinagar

Manoj Sinha, J&K Lieutenant Governor inaugurated 150-bedded Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Superspeciality Hospital, at Nowgam Srinagar

Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals has announced the expansion of its operations in the Kashmir valley. The healthcare group has set up its 18th hospital, its first 150-bedded superspeciality hospital in Srinagar, which will also serve communities in Anantnag, Bandipore, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Pulwama,  Shopian, Kishtwar, Punch, Ramban, Kathua, Rajouri, Ladakh, Leh besides Srinagar.

The new hospital has secondary and tertiary care facilities in interventional cardiology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, orthopaedic and joint replacement surgery, laparoscopic surgery, gynaecology, paediatrics and neonatology, internal medicine and others.

Probal Ghosal, Executive Chairman, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals said, “With this initiative, our goal has always been to reach out to the most remote parts of our country and provide medical facilities even near the unreached areas of the Kashmir valley. Our chain of hospitals provides both emergency and elective procedures and specialises in surgeries such as joint replacement, trauma surgery, neurological and spine surgery, urology, ophthalmology, infertility and ENT. With this unit, we are creating a value-based inclusive healthcare brand for tier2 & tier3 communities by providing quality care with an emphasis on affordability.”

The new facility aims to strengthen the government’s initiative of ensuring quality healthcare accessible to everyone.
